From yellow clay to black gumbo: Earth movers in the Lone Star State

Eighteen university ceramic instructors from Texas will exhibit their recent works in SMU's Pollock Gallery from January 22 to February 16, 2013.

Eighteen university ceramic instructors from Texas will exhibit their recent works in SMU's Pollock Gallery from January 22 to February 16, 2013.

The exhibition then travels with additional artists to the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) conference in Houston in March. The exhibit is organized by Brian Molanphy, Assistant Professor of Ceramics at SMU. 

The artists exhibiting in the Pollock Gallery are Merrie Wright, Patrick Veerkamp, Annie Strader, Colby Parsons, Brian Molanphy, Paul A. McCoy, Virginia Marsh, Louis Katz, Steve Hilton, Dan Hammett, Juan Granados, Ovidio Giberga, Barbara Frey, Piero Fenci, Nick J. de Vries, Angela Carbone, Vincent Burke and David Bogus.

The Pollock Gallery is located in the Hughes-Trigg Student Center, 3120 Dyer Street, Dallas, Texas 75205 and is open to the public without charge Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed Wednesdays and Sundays except by prior appointment.
