Asian-American Heritage Month at SMU

A variety of events will celebrate Asian-American Heritage Month at SMU during April.

Asian-American Heritage Month is cerebrated during April at SMU. Following are some of the scheduled activities:

April 3
  Boba Tea Sale

Boba (tapioca) tea sales! Each cup is only $3 and is sponsored by the Vietnamese Students Association.
April 5
  Sauna Night

Saunas are a Korean tradition. Sponsored by the Korean Student Association. Must RSVP with christopherc@smu.edu
April 6
  Bhangra Blitz (B2)

Bhangra Blitz is an intercollegiate dance competition with colleges from around the nation. Sponsored by the Indian Student Association.
April 9
  Real Talk:Is Asian the New White?

A roundtable discussion about Asian-American issues in the U.S., on campus and in DFW area. This is open to all students and staff/faculty. Sponsored by the Office of Multicultural Student Affairs.

A night of traditional games, entertainment and food from East Asia. Sponsored by the East Asian Student Association.
