Jacob Lynd

Ph.D. Student, Department of Chemistry

Research Interests:
Jacob works with Doran I.G. Bennett in the MesoScience Lab, where he studies the development, improvement and application of tools for applying quantum mechanics to simulate the flow of energy through interesting materials such as organic solar cells.

Road to the Moody School:
Jacob began his scientific journey as an undergraduate in an experimental biochemistry lab at the University of Texas at Dallas, where he graduated with honors with a B.S. in biochemistry, minoring in physics and music. Outside of research, Jacob draws, plays the piano, practices martial arts, writes tabletop role-playing games, cooks and likes discussing novels, shows, comics, albums or memes that catch his interest.
