What's closed and what's still going on at Meadows School of the Arts

Welcome to the #icemageddon in Dallas.

Thousands are without power in the D-FW area, and icicles are reaching from heavy branches. Cancellations are dotting the Dallas map, including major airports, zoos, museums, and SMU’s classes. Here’s the breakdown on what’s open and what’s not at Meadows this frigid weekend. Stay warm, eat some soup, and hunker down.

-All weekend classes and exams are cancelled.

-The Owen Arts Center will remain open on Friday

-The Umphrey Lee Center will remain open on Friday (Dining services are available as well at RFoC and Café 100).

-The Meadows Symphony Orchestra Friday performance has been cancelled. Sunday’s performance is still open to patrons. We will honor patrons with tickets to Friday’s performance on Sunday.

-Marquelle Power's Elective Guitar recital in O’Donnell Hall has been cancelled. This event will be rescheduled.

-Saturday (12/7): the matinee and evening performance of The Seven has been canceled. Sunday's performance is still on, with updates to come.

-Saturday's Meadows Honors Chamber Music Concert has been cancelled.

-Sunday's matinee of The Seven will go on.

-Sunday's (12/8) Meadows Symphony Orchestra has regretfully been cancelled.

-Sunday's Concerto Competition has been cancelled

-The Owen Arts Center will remain open today.
