SMU Ranks Among the Top 100 Best and Most Collaborative in Social Media
Report based on measure of social engagement across all platforms
There’s a sea change happening to education outside the classroom. Recent studies have suggested that students are being influenced, strongly, by the activity of a Universities social media account. So, over on the Huffington Post, social media expert Vala Afshar has posted an interesting report based on “a measure of their engagements across all major social platforms: the top 100 most collaborative colleges in the United States.
Southern Methodist University, we’re gosh darn proud to say, clocked in at #47. The article closes with the following quote: "Business leaders must ask themselves a very simple question: how can we attract the very best talent if we are unwilling to embrace social collaboration? The answer is simple; you cannot."
Social media and its relations to businesses and brands have obviously grown to an unavoidable importance. Which means—wait for it—it’s important in the classroom.
