Students in the Division of Music receive personalized and individual instruction from a distinguished faculty. They also have the opportunity to participate in a range of excellent performing ensembles. SMU's location in a major cultural center, which includes the internationally acclaimed Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center and the newly constructed Winspear Opera House, allows students the chance to attend performances by a range of musical groups and artists.
In addition to the professional development afforded through performance courses, classroom instruction and ensembles, the Division of Music provides important opportunities for the career expansion of its students.
