Brent Ross


Adjunct Professor of Oboe



Brent Ross joined the Dallas Symphony Orchestra as second oboist in 2008, following four seasons as Associate Principal/second oboe in the San Antonio Symphony. He has participated in festivals such as the Bravo! Vail Music Festival, Tanglewood Music Festival and Aspen Music Festival and School, among others.

Ross is an alumnus of Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, Juilliard and the New England Conservatory and his principal teachers include Elizabeth Camus and John Ferrillo. He is fortunate to have also studied with the late John De Lancie and John Mack.

Ross lives in East Dallas with his wife Claire and their three children. They enjoy playing at White Rock Lake, playing music together and listening to Dad make oboe reeds.
