In addition, his students continue to win major national and international awards. His student Mary Dunleavy, soprano, was awarded The Maria Callas Debut Award with The Dallas Opera.
Equally at home as a collaborative pianist with vocalists in recital, Dietert has appeared throughout North America and Europe, on all of the major concert stages in New York City and has toured under the auspices of Young Concert Artists. A highlight of his career was the collaboration with one of his mentors, the late French baritone Gérard Souzay, in the penultimate recital of his singing career at the Mozarteum during the Salzburg Festival.
