Transferring from Brookhaven to SMU

Are you a student at Brookhaven College, or, are you considering taking North Texas community college classes en route to earning a B.F.A. or B.A. in Art from SMU? You’ll be excited to know that as of June 2017, SMU and Brookhaven College have entered into a 2+2 articulation agreement. This agreement provides a transparent pathway for students to spend two years completing coursework at Brookhaven College (part of the Dallas County Community College District) followed by two years at SMU to earn their B.F.A. or B.A. in Art degree.

Review the 2+2 Graduation Plan, which offers a semester-by-semester breakdown of which courses to take at Brookhaven, as well as the remaining courses at SMU.

AND

Review the Brookhaven Art Articulation Pathway, which shows course equivalencies.

Consider the possibility that you could complete two years of transferrable coursework at Brookhaven that will not only apply toward your SMU degree, but could also earn you a Transfer Academic Scholarship. Then, consider the fact that many of our transfer art students receive considerable need-based aid, in addition to the transfer academic and artistic scholarships.
