John Dickinson
John Dickinson received his bachelor's degree in Fine Art and Philosophy from Colorado State University in 2008 and his MFA from Sothern Methodist University in 2010. Prior to returning to SMU, he taught sculpture at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
Dickinson’s creative interests currently include an exploration of the literal and representational capacities of sculptural space, mold making as a means of complicating an object’s materiality and the notion of mold as metaphor for dialectical thinking and negation. His work has been exhibited at Grounds for Sculpture, Salt Lake Art Center, The Sculpture Center and The Dayton Contemporary.
