Scott Dettra is an in-demand concert organist and recording artist who has performed across the U.S. and in Barbados, Canada and Germany. Dettra was the organist at the Washington National Cathedral for five years before taking the position of director of music and organist at the Church of the Incarnation in Dallas, one of the country’s largest Episcopal parishes, in 2012. In addition, Dettra has worked as conductor, keyboard artist and director of music at a variety of East Coast churches, including the Washington Bach Consort, Saint Pauls’ Parish K Street, and Cathedral Choral Society in Washington, D.C., as well as Saint Mark’s Church in Philadelphia, and Princeton High School, American Boychoir School, and Trinity Church in Princeton, N.J.

Dettra joined the faculty at SMU Meadows in 2019.
