Shina Heo

Shina Heo

Shina Heo was born into a Christian family in Busan, South Korea. As a teenager, she began to accompany worship services on the piano in her father’s church. At the age of 15, she started to have an interest in organ music to serve qualitative liturgy as accompanist.

Shina obtained Bachelor’s and Master’s degree at Ewha Womans University, Seoul, studying under Dr. Hee-Sung Kim. In addition to the organ studies, she received minor degree in International Office Administration area. After completing her studies in Seoul, she decided to move to Montréal, Canada, where French culture and instruments are placed. She received Graduate Diploma in Performance at McGill University, studying with Prof. Hans-Ola Ericsson.

To pursue her passion for French as well as German music, she is studying her second Master’s degree at Southern Methodist University in the studio of Stefan Engels.
