Portfolio Review

The SMU Division of Art is a proud member of the National Portfolio Day Association. The program participates in several in-person and virtual portfolio reviews.


Please join us on campus as we host a National Portfolio Review Day on Sunday, September 19th from 1:30-5:30pm. The completely free event is come-and go, and prospective art students will be able to have their work reviewed by faculty from over 25 top-rated art schools from across the country. Can’t make it that day? Check out the dates for our online portfolio reviews listed at the bottom of this page.

How do I register?

Registration takes place on the National Portfolio Day website; however, you will be asked to check-in when you get to the event. Head to to register!

What do I need to bring?

Please bring your work that is easy to carry, or a photo/video of your work that may be more difficult to transport. Feel free to bring work in a portfolio case or even digitally on a tablet.

Are face masks required?
Yes. Face masks will need to be worn over the nose and mouth during the duration of your time indoors.

Where do I park?

Parking is free and available on the left-hand side of Bishop Blvd. The curb is painted gold and will say No Parking because it is reserved for the event! Check out the image below. The parking and the Hughes-Trigg Student Center are circled and boxed in red respectively.
