Gordon Law is an experienced marketing and advertising professional who has enjoyed success in agency leadership and management, brand and media strategy and business development. Law has been an equity partner in a few agencies and understands the financial and operational sides of the agency business. Law is known for helping others to be successful, whether that be for a client who needs to turn their business around or an employee who needs some of his time or one of his students who needs help landing an internship or their first job out of college. Law believes in putting others first and doing things the right way every time.

Since graduating from Oklahoma State with a degree in advertising and public relations, Law has had the opportunity to work with a number of national advertising agencies including Moroch, Grey, Backer & Spielvogel and Bozell. He has also held ownership or senior leadership roles at some outstanding regional agencies such as Keller Crescent Company, Hadeler Sullivan & Law, Slingshot, and, for the past five years, as president of Swimming Duck.

Throughout his career he has worked on brands in virtually every industry including automotive, education, financial services, food & beverage, home services, restaurant, technology, telecom and travel & tourism. Additionally, Law has served on a number of boards (Dallas Advertising League, United States Olympic Committee/Southwest Region, Dallas All Sports Association, St. Rita School Advisory Council, Jesuit College Preparatory Annual Challenge Drive) and was able to serve each as president.

Law joined SMU as an adjunct instructor in 2011 in the Temerlin Advertising Institute, an opportunity he calls “one of the greatest blessings of my professional career.” Beginning in fall 2019, Law began serving as a visiting professor of practice.
