Owen Arts Center

The Owen Arts Center from Bishop Boulevard

Public art and performance spaces within the Owen Arts Center include Caruth Auditorium, Bob Hope Theatre, Greer Garson Theatre, Margo Jones Theatre, O’Donnell Lecture-Recital Hall, Sharp Studio, Taubman Atrium and the Doolin Gallery. Students participate in lectures, film screenings, set construction and music lessons and take advantage of opportunities to form relationships and collaborations across many art forms. Think Tank

Praxis, SMU's Ad Team, is comprised of a select group of students who compete annually in the American Advertising Federation's (AAF) National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC). Praxis teams have won this national competition twice in the last 10 years. The word Praxis is derived from the Greek words for "theory" and "practice." Learn more about Think Tank

Umphrey Lee Center

Method Creative Studio

The Method Creative studio provides a vibrant and eclectic environment for students to produce and discuss collaborative campaign assignments. Students create graphic design projects with drafting tables, Apple iMacs and Canon printers, while numerous awards, trophies and examples of student work add inspiration.
