Alumni and Career Success

Coming this Fall: Meadows’ New Office of Alumni and Career Success

At Meadows, we’re intent on helping our graduates succeed. This fall, in partnership with SMU’s Hegi Family Career Development Center, the school will establish a new Office of Alumni and Career Success that will offer resources, events, and programs to assist current and former students in building self-sustaining careers in the arts, communications, and design. This initiative will expand upon Meadows’ alumni outreach effort to facilitate connections through the SMU Meadows Network – a growing, global community of professionals who are invested in one another’s continued advancement.

Updates will be forthcoming. Meantime, see below to learn how you might get involved in this important project.

Access the SMU Meadows Network

In earning a diploma from Meadows, you become part of a global community of over 22,000 alumni – artists, collaborators, and communicators who can help you meet your career goals. Harness the power of the Meadows Network by exploring the following resources:

SMU Meadows School of the Arts Network on LinkedIn: A closed group of more than 2,000 alumni, students, faculty and staff that features job postings, alumni news, and school announcements. Administrative approval is required to join.

The SMU Network: Exclusive to SMU alumni and students, this platform allows members to search for professional contacts by geographic location, area of study, industry, and other key fields. Members are able to designate themselves as “willing to help” others with their careers, taking some of the guesswork out of networking efforts.

This fall, Meadows will participate in the 2022 Strategic National Arts Alumni Project (SNAAP) – a one-of-a-kind survey that explores the lives and careers of arts alumni nationwide. Update your contact information to ensure you receive an invitation to take the survey.
