Biography

Lee Gleiser grew up in New York where her parents gave her the gift of a deep appreciation for the arts. She was taken to Broadway, the Met, Lincoln Center and museums from a very young age, and has loved it all ever since. It is no surprise that she wound up at the Meadows School of the Arts in spite of an unusual career path in professional sports.

After graduating Haverford College in Philadelphia, Lee worked at Veterans Stadium while getting her law degree at Temple University. There she learned the ropes about marketing professional sports teams and planning big events. After passing the New York and Florida State Bar Exams, Lee accepted a position with a minor league baseball team in Pompano Beach, Florida. She eventually became the first female Assistant General Manager in the Grapefruit League. The team relocated to Ft. Myers, Fla., where Lee ran Spring Training for the Minnesota Twins. Lee later moved to Tyler, Texas, to become the General Manager of the Tyler Wildcatters. There she broke attendance records and gained national media attention for the team. Lee next took on the challenge of marketing hockey to the Metroplex when the Dallas Stars came to town. During her eight-year tenure with the Stars, the team experienced over 200 consecutive sellouts and won the Stanley Cup championship.

Lee brings her extensive promotions and marketing experience to the Meadows School of the Arts where she enjoys building audiences for Meadows events as well as building strong relationships with the community. Her favorite part of the job is working with so many incredibly gifted and talented students and faculty.
