Andy Marsh '98
President & CEO of Power Plug
In my forty years in industry, I have been an entrepreneur in a fortune 50 company, started a company in an established industry, and established a commercially-viable market as the CEO of a public company – which previously had no commercial sales. All of these experiences offered unique challenges and opportunities. During my presentation, I will discuss the differences an entrepreneur encounters in these diverse environments, examining from an organizational structure, financing, technology and product development, sales, marketing and manufacturing. I will summarize the lessons learned over the years, and suggest paths an entrepreneur should consider based on their specific market and company structure.
