The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers two master's programs and one dual degree M.S./MBA program.
M.S.M.E. in Mechanical Engineering
The M.S. in Mechanical Engineering provides the technical depth and breadth required for engineers to lead organizations and develop impactful technical solutions in a wide range of industries. Each student selects an area of concentration: Thermal & Fluid Sciences, Mechanics & Manufacturing or Dynamic Systems & Controls.
Developed in consultation with business and industry leaders and professionals in manufacturing, the Lyle M.S. in Manufacturing Systems Management program is unique in providing both the latest in technology and the broad management skills needed for success in today’s business.
M.S./MBA Mechanical Engineering Business Administration
The Lyle School of Engineering and the Cox School of Business offer a two-year, dual-degree with a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Master of Business Administration, with as few as 68 semester credit hours. The program is intended for full-time graduate students with bachelor’s degrees in engineering or science.
