Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering

The Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. program is one of the most successful programs in the nation. The majority of students are supported by their own companies, faculty research grants or the department through teaching assistant fellowships. The latter option is specifically tailored to students interested in obtaining a faculty position after graduation.

D.E. in Mechanical Engineering

This Doctor of Engineering degree is designed to provide students with preparation to meet doctoral standards in an applied science or engineering practice. Applied science as a focus for the doctoral degree refers to the study of advanced theory and its application to a practical problem in order to test and verify performance limitations.
