The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering offers a full complement of courses at the bachelor’s degree level in communications, networks, digital signal processing, optoelectronics, electromagnetics, microelectronics, computer architecture, digital systems and hardware security. Students can choose from three major programs and may elect to obtain a double major in areas such as Math and Physics. In addition, the department offers two minor programs.
B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering
This degree program delivers a breadth of knowledge in electrical equipment, devices and systems that will enable students to navigate a highly technological world. The program provides students with a thorough comprehension of both hardware and software skills to understand electronic systems. In conjunction with learning theory, students study applications in a wide variety of fields and undertake significant experimental work.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering (Biomedical Specialization)
In addition to understanding the core areas of Electrical Engineering, this degree option allows students to apply learned skills to biomedical systems design and understand biomedical signals.
Computer Engineering Minor
The department offers the ability to minor in Computer Engineering, which would be appropriate for students who major in other departments at Lyle or in any basic sciences.
Electrical Engineering Minor
