Caruth Hall Awarded LEED Gold Status

Becomes the second building within the Lyle School of Engineering to receive national environmental designation

With the official award of LEED Gold status to Caruth Hall this past week, the Lyle School of Engineering continues to set the national pace for high performing sustainable buildings.

Following closely on the heels of the LEED Gold Embrey Engineering Building, the Lyle School now boasts two extraordinarily efficient and sustainable facilities for research and teaching.

Caruth Hall is home to the Departments of Computer Science and Engineering and Engineering Management, Information and Systems. It is also home to new pioneering initiatives to expand the role of engineering in society: Caruth Institute for Engineering Education, Hunt Institute for Engineering and Humanity, Hart Center for Engineering Leadership, the Innovation Gym and Skunk Works Lab.
