SMU launches partnership with Lockheed’s Skunk Works

DALLAS — Lockheed Martin’s "Skunk Works" has made some of the biggest technology breakthroughs in modern aviation, including the first U.S. jet fighter, the U-2 spy plane and the F-117 stealth fighter. But the key to the secretive organization’s success, Skunk Works chief Frank Cappuccio says, is not a mastery of science and technology, but recruiting, inspiring and managing talented and motivated people who thrive in a risk-taking environment.
