Studying Abroad

SMU's study abroad programs are administered by the International Office, 6185 Airline Rd, which provides for program logistics, admission, schedules, and financial and enrollment information.

An initial nonrefundable deposit is due from each student within two weeks of acceptance into a program and is payable directly to the SMU International Office.

The balance of all other tuition and fees is payable to SMU Division of Enrollment Services in accordance with regular University billing procedures and payment due dates.

Cancellation and refund dates and policies for most SMU study abroad programs are the same as those in effect for the Dallas campus, which are set in compliance with University policy. However, all SMU summer study abroad programs have a NO REFUND policy after the start of the program.
