Many of the library's frequently used titles and those placed on course reserve by faculty members are held behind the circulation desk. Most reserve materials circulate for use in the Law Library for a period of two hours. To access materials on reserve, present a valid SMU ID or current driver's license to the circulation desk staff.
Overdue and Lost Materials
Fines are assessed for overdue materials. After 30 days, books are considered lost and replacement costs will be assessed. Charges for lost books include any fines due when the loss is reported, the current price of each lost item replaced, and a processing charge of $25 for each item replaced.
Portable video viewing equipment is available at the circulation desk for use in carrels and study rooms.
