Biography

Marc A. Hubbard, a 1988 graduate of the SMU Dedman School of Law, is a member of the firm Hubbard Law, PLLC.  He also currently serves as Chair of the Patent Law Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA) and a Director on the board of the IP Section of the Dallas Bar Association. He is a member of the Executive Committee of the Institute of Law and Technology of the Center for American and International Law, co-chairing its annual Intellectual Property Conference, and serves as a Master in the The Honorable Barbara M.G. Lynn American Inn of Court.
 
Marc regularly represents public and private companies of all sizes, startup and early stage technology ventures, private equity and venture capital firms, and universities in all aspects of patenting,  licensing, litigation and other activities that involve patents, trademarks, trade secrets and copyrights.  The majority of his patent related experience has involved inventions in the mechanical, electrical, computer software and business methods fields.
 
Prior to starting Hubbard Law in 2012, he was partner in the firm of Gardere Wynne Sewell, LLP and  an equity shareholder in the firm of Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, PC, both in Dallas. He holds a BS degree in Engineering from Swarthmore College, and has been registered patent agent and attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 1987.
