Biography

A licensed CPA, Jason Freeman is also the Managing Member at Freeman Law.  Mr. Freeman teaches a course in the law of federal income taxation, an area that is central to his legal practice.  He brings a hands-on, practical knowledge base to the classroom.  Through his FIT course, he also emphasizes traditional tax policy to help his students understand and gain a working knowledge of the ever-evolving body of law.

Mr. Freeman has been recognized by D Magazine as one of the "Best Lawyers in Dallas" for tax law and was recently named the Young CPA of the Year in the state of Texas.  In his practice, he represents clients in civil and criminal tax litigation and white-collar criminal defense matters.  His recent litigation experience includes serving as trial counsel in a criminal tax conspiracy jury trial in the Federal District Court for the United States Virgin Islands.   Mr. Freeman also represents clients in appellate matters, and recently served as lead appellate counsel and presented oral argument in a tax case before the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
