This digital collection contains online versions of selected moving images from the holdings of the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection (formerly the Southwest Film/Video Archive). The G. William Jones Film and Video Collection is part of SMU's Hamon Arts Library.

The G. William Jones Film and Video Collection was founded in 1970 and was originally known as the Southwest Film/Video Archives. In 1995, the Collection was renamed in memory of its founder, the late Dr. G. William Jones. Dr. Jones was a tireless collector as well as a devoted scholar and teacher in cinema and religious studies.

Currently, only Carib Gold is available in this collection. As more of the items in the G. William Jones Film and Video Collection are digitized, the collection will grow in size and scope.

The G. William Jones Film and Video Collection is one of a family of digital collections that focus on moving pictures from the archive.
