Game studios: The Dallas area is home to more than 50 game studios, app developers and digital technology companies, as well as professional organizations like the Dallas IGDA. Combined with our relationships with nearly 300 studios and companies worldwide, SMU Guildhall's prime location allows us to provide abounding educational and professional opportunities for our students and alumni, and allows us to grow hand-in-hand with a close community of game industry icons, leaders, and legends.

Corporations: Plano is home to many corporate giants, with more relocating to the area each year. Local companies that use game technologies, such as Halliburton, Samsung and Texas Instruments, regularly seek out our graduates. Other companies, such as Unity and Autodesk, bring their trainers to our school to host seminars. The Dallas-area business environment also supports game development with conferences like GameDallas, Big (D)esign, and Industry Giants, as well as venture capital firms that focus on games, such as Dallas Venture Partners.
