Learn to create art for games
As an artist at SMU Guildhall, you will learn to apply your natural artistic talent through the latest tools, engines, and software to create worlds, characters, and assets across the wide spectrum of 2D and 3D game art. This includes concepts, complex mesh pipelines, sculpting, rigging, multi-layer textures supporting physics-based rendered materials, lighting, user interfaces, animation, and particle systems — all of which are used to support award-winning team game creation throughout their Guildhall career.

Art students prepare for careers creating all visual elements found throughout the diverse media and genre of video games we enjoy today. The various areas of game art development continue to grow.
