You are invited to join us for the 106th Opening Convocation to honor the entering students of 2019, on Sunday, August 23.
On the evening of Opening Convocation, the faculty assemble in academic regalia no later than 4:45 p.m. in the basement of McFarlin Auditorium. At 5:00 p.m. the entering students will march through the Rotunda and down the diagonal walk between Dallas Hall and McFarlin Auditorium. Upon entering McFarlin, the faculty will have the opportunity to greet the new students when they enter the venue. Faculty Marshals will greet you and lead the faculty procession. Retired faculty march at the head of the procession, followed by in-service faculty and new faculty members.
If you need to rent academic regalia for the ceremony, please send your regalia order to Didi Archilla at email@example.com by Monday, July 29. Please include your name, height, weight or dress size, cap size, highest degree information, and the institution where your degree was earned.
