Students Receiving National Fellowship, Departmental, and University Awards
Please report to the box office inside the lobby of McFarlin Auditorium between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to receive an index card listing your award. If you are receiving multiple awards, all will be printed on this card. It is imperative that you do not lose this card. After picking up the card, please go to the second level of McFarlin outside of the 1st balcony to line up for the procession. Staff will be there to assist you in the line-up.
During the ceremony, you will be led to the stage by Chief Marshal emeritus Thomas Fomby. As you approach the stage, you will hand your index card to the lector who will read your name. You will then receive congratulations and a small gift from Provost Loboa, before being congratulated by President Turner and your school’s dean/director. Off stage, you will be given a lapel pin and certificate to commemorate the occasion.
Awardees who cannot attend can pick up their mementos from the University Registrar's Office in the Blanton Building starting Wednesday, May 3.
