National Fellowship Honorees, University Awardees, Hyer Society Inductees and Outstanding SMU Man and Woman
Please report to the box office inside the lobby of McFarlin Auditorium between 1:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to receive an index card listing your accomplishment(s). It is imperative that you do not lose this card. After picking up the card, please go to the second level of McFarlin outside of the 1st balcony to line up for the procession. Staff will be there to assist you in the line-up.
During the ceremony, you will be led to the stage by Chief Marshal emeritus Thomas Fomby. As you approach the stage, you will hand your index card to the lector who will read your name. You will then receive congratulations and a small gift from Provost Loboa, before being congratulated by President Turner and your school’s dean/director. Off stage, you will be given a lapel pin and certificate to commemorate the occasion.
Awardees who cannot attend can pick up their mementos from the Enrollment Resources Service Counter in the Blanton Building starting Wednesday, May 3.
Departmental Awardees, Honor Society Inductees and University Honors Program Members
Please arrive to the lower level of McFarlin Auditorium by 1:40 p.m. You will receive a memento and faculty marshals will escort you to your seats. You will be acknowledged during the ceremony. If you are unable to attend, you may pick up your memento to commemorate this special occasion from the Enrollment Resources Service Counter in the Blanton Building starting Wednesday, May 3.
