Honors Convocation is a special event – a time when we celebrate the accomplishments of SMU’s finest students. The University plans to do so with careful attention to the health and wellness of all honorees and faculty.
Retired and current faculty who have RSVP'd for the ceremony must arrive at McFarlin Auditorium in academic dress no later than 5:10 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021. Academic Ceremonies staff and ushers will be on hand to show you to your reserved seat. Masks are required and social distancing protocols are in place.
As always, your participation in convocation means a great deal to our students, but it is very much voluntary. If you are unable to attend Honors Convocation in person, I invite you to view the ceremony virtually from your home or office at smu.edu/live. Whether you attend in person or watch the webcast, I hope you will join with your colleagues in support of these events and the values they represent.
