Dialogue: Undergraduate Journal for Political Studies

 

The Tower Center publishes Dialogue, the oldest and premier student-run political studies journal at SMU. At the conclusion of each academic year, Dialogue: the Tower Center Undergraduate Journal for Political Studies will feature the best research from relevant fields at SMU.  

Dialogue is now accepting submissions for the 2018 edition. All undergraduates are encouraged to submit their work in the political and policy study areas. Research papers, policy memos, and literature reviews will all be considered for publication. A few guidelines:

Research Papers

Only submissions that are less than 10,000 words, not including Chicago Style Citations, will be considered.

 

Policy Memos

Submissions must be between 1,500 and 3,500 words. Citations are not required but are recommended.

 

Literature Review

Reviews over books, papers, and other literature must be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, not including citations.

Open Forum: Student Forum Newsletter

 

Open Forum is a nonpartisan student-driven newsletter run by the Tower Center Student Forum in which student contributors take an objective approach to some of the most pressing issues we face as a society. No matter who you are or where you are from, if you care about the issues, then Open Forum is for you. By reading, you can expect to enjoy student written opinion pieces and our skim of  the most relevant news topics.

 

Write for us! Open Forum accepts opinion pieces that address a variety of the issues pressing our world today.

Your article could be related to politics, international conflict--or anything really, as long

as it is rationally constructed and well written. Submissions must be between 300-400 words.
