Marketing and Communications Specialist

Valerie Maniscalco serves as the Marketing and Communications Specialist for the Tower Center of Public Policy and International Affairs and the Mission Foods Texas-Mexico Center at Southern Methodist University. She comes to SMU with over eight years of experience in strategic planning, message development, insights gathering, and disseminating marketing content. She also brings a thorough understanding of building brands through social media, media relations, customer engagement and community-building strategies for multiple digital platforms including email, web, social and video.
Prior to SMU, Valerie oversaw marketing communications for CBRE, Colliers International and Genesis Women’s Shelter and Support. She has a heart for Dallas, actively volunteering with Advocates for Community Transformation and the Junior League of Dallas, where she has served multiple years on Leadership Council. She is currently pursuing an M.B.A. from SMU's Cox School of Business.
