Biographical Note:

Philip D. Zelikow served in the George W. Bush administration as counselor of the Department of State from 2005 to 2007. He was also executive director of the 9/11 Commission (2003-2003) and a member of the Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board (2001-2003). Dr. Zelikow has served in five different administrations, including positions in the White House, State Department, and the Pentagon. Currently, he is the White Burkett Miller Professor of History at the University of Virginia.
