The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers a wide range of events every semester, ranging from professional development workshops and guest lectures, to language club meetings, conversation tables, and our annual International Film Festival!
On February 21, 2024, SMU will take part in the International Mother Language Day celebration! All students are invited to celebrate and learn about language diversity on our campus. Co-hosted by Dedman College, Social Change and Intercultural Engagement, World Languages & Literatures, International Student & Scholar Services, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion.
