About
Professor Flores has been with SMU since 2005 and has served as the area chair and the sole instructor for the Japanese area. She teaches all three years of language classes. She is the faculty advisor for the Japanese Culture Club and serves on the WLL Pedagogy committee.
Her recent interests are action research on active learning. She has presented workshops, panels and papers at different conferences and published several software reviews on the topics of development of interactive, online multimedia materials and technology training for language teachers.
She has served on the board of directors of the Association of Teachers of Japanese (currently named The American Association of Teachers of Japanese). She manages "senseiOnline," a mailing list for teachers of Japanese.
