Bio:

Kelsey Kiser is the Hughes Postdoctoral Fellow at Southern Methodist University (2019-2021), where she is currently at work on her book project, Secret Selves: Surveillance and Twentieth-Century African American Literature. Her work has been generously supported by a fellowship from the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture. Her additional research interests include women writers, critical race theory, cultural studies, and surveillance.
