IBM Summer Innovation Camp with Analytics co-sponsored and hosted by The Richard B. Johnson Center for Economic Studies at SMU - July 22-25, 2013.
The 2013 Summer Innovation Camp with Analytics brought real-world business/technology skills to Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Magnet Center high school students. The event introduced concepts of predictive modeling and provided hands-on experience with IBM SPSS Modeler to build and create predictive models to solve business problems.
The purpose of this camp was to help address this growing skill gap by providing analytics training, introducing students to degree programs at SMU with an analytics focus, and providing insight into opportunities available in the field of analytics at IBM and beyond.
The camp was held at SMU July 22 through July 24, and at the IBM Innovation Center on July 25.
