On leave beginning Fall 2017.

I study prehistoric peoples on the Eastern Plains through the technological analysis of their ceramics. My present research focuses on the relationship between decoration and ceramic technology at an early Late Woodland site in Western Iowa. For my dissertation, I hope to explore change and continuity of Protohistoric ceramic technology on the Eastern Plains. Before attending SMU, I graduated from the University of Iowa (2011) with a BA in Anthropology (with honors), a Museum Studies Certificate, and an emphasis in Cultural Resource and Heritage Management. My studies and professional experiences have taken me to Belize, the Netherlands, Ohio, Illinois, Texas, Iowa, and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
