  • Bio

    Robert W. Rasberry, Assistant Professor of Management and Organizations at Cox School of Business, joined the SMU faculty in 1974. He designed and directed the communication skills program until the mid-1990s. Professor Rasberry then served as the Cox School's primary instructor of ethics courses. He received a B.A. degree from Central State University, a M.S. degree from North Texas State University and a Ph.D. degree from the University of Kansas. In 2011, Professor Rasberry received a Human Rights Education Fellowship, awarded by the Boone Family Foundation through SMU's Embrey Human Rights Program. He is the author of two books and co-author of four others. Additional writings include 30 articles for academic and mainstream publications, and more than 25 business communication conference presentations. He twice received SMU's HOPE Award and the Cox Outstanding BBA Teaching Award. His extensive University service includes the Cox MBA Policy Committee, University Intellectual Property Committee, and the Maguire Center for Ethics Faculty Advising Committee, among others. He retires as Professor Emeritus of Management and Organizations.
