Tony Dona co-founded Thackeray Partners in January 2005. He focuses his efforts on overall Thackeray strategy, capital structure, limited partner communications, asset management and deal sourcing. Prior to founding Thackeray, Tony served as the chief executive officer of Crow Holdings which included oversight of both Crow’s real estate business and its diversified investments. He had been with Trammell Crow Company, Crow Holdings, and other Crow-affiliated entities for almost 20 years. A graduate of Southern Methodist University (SMU), Tony also received an MBA from Harvard Business School. Tony is chairman and board member of Uplift Education, the largest charter school organization in North Texas; and is on the advisory board of Greystar Apartment Company. Tony serves as adjunct lecturer at the Cox School of Business at (SMU) in the Real Estate department of the MBA program and is vice chairman and board member of Folsom Real Estate Center. Tony is research sponsor at the Zell/Lurie Real Estate Center at Wharton. He is also a member of the Executive Council of the University of Texas Real Estate Finance and Investment Center.
