Joyce Asber

Joyce Asber teaches LSAT Test Prep courses.  She graduated from the University of Dallas in 2000 with a Bachelor's in English and went on to complete a Juris Doctorate at Boston College Law School in 2003.  After being admitted to the bar in both Massachusetts and Texas, Joyce practiced immigration law for over five years.  As an immigration attorney Joyce helped individuals understand the immigration process, educating them about their options and obligations, as well as serving as their advocate in this complex area of law.  In addition to helping students prepare for law school, she and has also taught SAT preparation, tutored students privately, and currently works as a tutor and mentor helping high school students meet graduation requirements.  She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in music. 

Michael Craig

Michael Craig has taught test taking techniques and study skills for more than a decade. His teaching and training experience includes LSAT exam preparation and Advanced Law education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Non-Profit Management from St. Edward’s University, where he received Summa Cum Laude honors, and a Master in Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Houston. Craig also received his Teaching Certification in the state of Texas. In addition to his teaching and training background, Craig has experience in nonprofit administration, curriculum design, and instructor development. He is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership fraternity.

Andrea Loubier

Andrea Loubier has been helping students preparing for the SAT and ACT improve their critical thinking and writing skills since 2004. What began as a one-to-one endeavor has broadened into a full scale Critical Writing Seminar designed to introduce and strengthen critical thinking basics for students wanting to score better on the written portion of standardized tests. Her thoughtful and incisive critiques of practice exams have helped students broaden their outlook, weed out tangential issues, and focus their arguments logically. Prior to this she honed her editorial and writing skills in marketing and editing capacities for several companies including The San Antonio Museum of Art, Direct Solutions International, and the International Newspaper Marketing Association. She was included in Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities, and is a member of Mensa, the international high IQ society.

Russ Mauch

Russ Mauch is a professional writer, educator and consultant. He has taught a variety of collegiate and business writing courses. He also has served as chief academic officer at two colleges. Russ is one of the founding partners of Innovative Resource Systems Company. The company creates specialized business documents that are designed to produce a specific audience response – precisely what is required to score well in the GMAT. In addition to teaching the GMAT verbal section for more than a decade, Russ has taught credit courses in freshman composition and literature, technical writing, business communication and non-credit courses in effective business writing, résumé development and basic auto mechanics. He is a member of the pre-M.B.A. faculty at the University of Dallas Graduate School of Management. He combines adult learning theory, test-taking strategies and motivational techniques to maximize student performance. Russ Mauch teaches the verbal portion of the SMU Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) Prep Course.

Linda Long Mims is a Dallas native that has always had a passion for teaching. Currently a math teacher in Highland Park Independent School District, Linda enjoys the profession, the people and the principles that are an integral ingredient to being engaged and encouraging with students everyday.

Steven Shotts, Lead Instructor

Steven Shotts is a test prep expert and co-founder of Educational Testing Consultants, Inc. After receiving his degree in Pure Mathematics from Florida State University, Shotts has dedicated the past 15 years to assisting students succeed on standardized tests. Shotts teaches test prep courses for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, ACT, SAT, and many other standardized tests. He has personally helped hundreds of students reach their standardized testing goals through his test prep course instruction and tutoring. In addition to teaching, his test prep expertise includes curriculum development, test item development and evaluation, and instructor training. He is the co-author of the test prep materials used for the GRE, GMAT, LSAT, ACT, and SAT classes at Southern Methodist University.
