Create, Fill, Reclassify or Promote a Position

To create, fill, reclassify or promote a position: 

  1. Contact your school/division leadership and Financial Business Manager to discuss the position request and ensure alignment with the goals of the business unit. 
  2. Complete the Job Description Form
  3. E-mail the Job Description Form to RecruitU@smu.edu and/or the assigned HR Business Partner. The Department of Human Resources will contact you to discuss the next steps.
