Working at a University certainly has its privileges and one of those is the abundance of educational resources we have to offer both our students and employees. We encourage you to take advantage of these and other opportunities on campus as you grow in your career with SMU.

The on-campus resources listed to the right are available to you for additional coursework, research and/or reference material.

Cox Business Information Center (BIC) offers numerous resources including articles, workshops, and research support for those interested in business topics.

The Collins Executive Education Center offers a variety of workshops and courses that support growth in the areas of management and leadership. SMU employees may qualify for a discount on offerings, so be sure and let them know you're an employee when registering.

Fondren Library can support you in researching any topic of interest as you seek to develop your knowledge and skills on the job at SMU. Great books, articles, videos, and other materials are available on many business topics and are typically offered free to employees.

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) provides a number of classes and tutorials online as well as classroom workshops to help you grow in your technology skills.

The Office of Risk Management (ORM) offers numerous online classes to promote safety, risk management, and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Continuing and Professional Education (CAPE) hosts a wide variety of professional and personal development courses throughout the year. In addition, they offer summer camps for children.  SMU employees receive a discount on classes, so be sure and let them know you're an employee when signing up for their classes.
