The Uniting Conference included daily devotional times and worship services, as illustrated on the cover of this issue of the South Carolina Methodist Advocate. The exhibited hymnal was printed for use during the conference and contains sixty-two selections from The Methodist Hymnal of 1964. On display is Carlton R. Young’s personal copy. Dr. Young, associate professor of Church Music at Perkins School of Theology between 1964 and 1975, served as music director of the Uniting Conference.
