This is the first edition of the Imitatio Christi in Räto-Romansch. It was translated by Joseph Maria Camenisch (1792–1847), a pastor in Surrein-Sumvitg, a village within the bishopric of Chur in the canton of Graubünden, Switzerland, where this uncommon dialect is spoken. The book bears the ownership stamp of the library of the Capuchin monastery at Altötting in Bavaria.
