Amsterdam: Joseph, Jacob, and Abraham Salomons, [1768].

This book of occasional prayers and psalm readings in both Hebrew and Dutch was published to commemorate the official visitation to Amsterdam’s large and prosperous Sephardic Synagogue in 1768 by Prince William V of Orange (1748–1806) and his bride Wilhelmina of Prussia, both of whom established particularly good relations with the city’s Jewish population. Printed on expensive paper, each copy was bound in orange silk covers in honor of the Prince of Orange with elaborate Dutch gilt endpapers inside each cover.
