Reunion Weekend FAQ’s


How do I register for Reunion? When does registration close?
Registration is open!
Click here to sign up. Registration closes Monday, November 4 before Reunion Weekend. To register after Monday, November 4, please contact the SMU Reunion Team at reunionyear@smu.edu or (214) 768-9327.

Do I need to register in advance?
Alumni are strongly encouraged to register in advance. If however, you are not able to register in advance, event tickets will be available for purchase at check-in as well as the day of the event.

Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes! Once you complete the online registration form, you will receive a confirmation receipt of your registration.  Please contact the SMU Reunion Team at
reunionyear@smu.edu or (214) 768-9327 if you do not receive a confirmation email upon completion.

Will I be sent an event reminder with final details?

Yes, SMU Reunions will email all registrants final homecoming details in the weeks leading up to Homecoming Weekend.

How much does my Reunion cost?
The cost of attending Reunion Weekend depends on the events you choose to attend.  Prices to attend each event are available on
the registration form.

Where do I find the listing of events for the weekend?
The Homecoming Events webpage will have the most up-to-date information regarding events and details for the entire weekend.


Location: Heritage Hall, Paul B. Loyd All-Sports Center
Time:  Friday, November 8 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m.

Reunion Staff will be available to process on-site registrations, provide general event details, distribute nametags, pre-purchased football tickets as well as answer any questions you might have.


How do I buy football tickets for the Homecoming Game?
Ordering your football tickets just got easier! You can now purchase your football tickets while registering for all other Reunion Weekend activities. The Reunion alumni tickets will be in sections 223, 224, and 225 and are $13 each when ordered through the
online registration. You can pick up your tickets during check-in on Friday, November 8 from 9 a.m to 4 p.m. located at Heritage Hall in the Paul B. Loyd All-Sports Center.  If unable to pick up tickets at that time, you may also pick them up at your Class Party on Friday night or the Reunion Village on Saturday, November 9 before the Homecoming Game.

When will the football kickoff time be announced?

The official kickoff time for the game has been announced for 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 9.  The Homecoming Parade will begin at 8 a.m.


Where do I stay during Reunion 2019?
Please visit

What do I wear for the Reunion events?

Attire varies depending on the events you will be attending during Reunion Weekend. If you will be joining us for tours on Friday, dress is casual and comfortable as we will be walking for the tour. Please refer to the class parties listing for information regarding attire for your class party. Saturday festivities including the Homecoming Parade, Reunion Village, and the football game will be game day attire—wear your red and blue with pride.


Where do I park when I come to campus for the Homecoming Game?
Alumni should be advised that the communities of Highland Park and University Park have established resident-only parking areas near the SMU campus. Cars without resident parking or guest permits may be cited by the Police Department. Please use caution. SMU recommends parking only in designated SMU gameday parking areas to avoid any issues.

What if there is inclement weather?
While the majority of our Reunion Class Parties are indoor events, those that are at venues exposed to the elements have inclement weather plans in place to ensure that the event will be successful rain or shine.


How do I make changes or cancel my Reunion event reservation(s)?
All events, with the exception of football tickets, are refundable until Monday, November 4.  To request a refund or make changes to an existing registration, please contact the SMU Reunion Team at

How do I make my Reunion gift?
You may give online or by phone—call the SMU Reunion Programs at 214-768-9327. You can designate your gift to any area of SMU. We hope you will consider a gift or pledge to the SMU Fund for Greatest Needs. All gifts to any area of SMU during your Reunion year will count toward your class goals. How will SMU know when reunion-year alumni make gifts?

Any time SMU receives a gift from a reunion-year alumnus, it is automatically counted toward their class reunion goal. Only gifts received between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2019, count toward your reunion goal.




What is the Pony Pass?

This year we are launching a brand new program to make your reunion year even BIGGER. All reunion-year alumni will receive a specially designed “Pony Pass” card, granting them access to the exclusive benefits, discounts and swag throughout their entire reunion year. Show your pass to participating SMU Partners all year long to receive exclusive benefits and experiences. Visit the Pony Pass page for an up to date list of our Pony Pass Partners.


How do I receive my Pony Pass?

All reunion year alumni will be mailed an invitation to Reunion Weekend that will include their Pony Pass.  If you did not receive or need to replace your Pony Pass card, please contact SMU Reunion Programs at reunionyear@smu.edu or 214-768-9327.
